Great success!

The Tangled Yoke Cardigan was a great success. The fit is perfect, the color perfect, execution pretty good (I cannot see my mistakes but I have not gone looking for them. This is by far the most wearable SWEATER I have knitted. Hooray!Details: Tangled Yoke Cardigan, Interweave Knits
Felted Tweed, 7 Balls purchased at Knitting Sisters while on vacation
#3 needles for body, size #0 for the button bands
August 2007-January 2008
Mismatched (though all black) vintage buttons from button jar

I would actually knit this again. The fit is so good, and it was fun to make. Plus, it has loads of "knitterly" details like the long ribbing on the arms and body, the fantastic cabled yoke, and the mismatched buttons. The pattern is very classic and will be current for many years.

More news:
I have 5 friends/family who are having (or have had) babies this year. I am planning to knit Baby Surprise Jackets for most of them....unless I get very sick of this pattern. Its so cute and fun to make; I think I can crank out at least 4.

This is the first, meant for friends in Edinburgh, who had a girl before Christmas. I have not yet put her tag/name into it--I love the custom tag in handknits.

Details:
Partial balls of Louet Gems Sport which is SUPERWASH!) of white, purple and yellow.
Pattern from The Opinionated Knitter
Yarn from The Yarn Lounge
Mismatched (but all white) buttons from the vintage button jar.

Oh, Suzanne, the tangled yoke is gorgeous, and looks fantastic on you! Great job knitting it! That Eunny can design a sweater, can't she?

Always love to see BSJs -- looking forward to the next four!
