Well.....i turned in my soul-sucking project today (about 20 minutes ago) and now I have only bits and pieces, small presentations and emails and things to clean up before school is OVER for me. Over.
Two and a half years of spending MOST of my non-knitting free time, every Sunday, every weeknight and a lot of my waking moments thinking about school.
I know I should be focused on the good parts, the new free time, the accomplishment of going back to school while working and taking care of small children. But I feel....sad! at loose ends! grumpy! This must be why people do graduations and things like that, its a way to stay busy and UP during times of transition. (I am not going to graduation; its 1000 miles away and for me to drag myself and FaveSpouse and the kids would be very expensive. And all for what? I am not a ceremony girl anyway. My wedding had 2 guests; I skipped my undergrad graduation.)
Enough with the pity party. I knew this would happen--school would end with a whimper rather than with a BANG!
I've been knitting; I am working on my new Harry Potter socks and making a few fingerless gloves for gifts. I've reached the yoke on the Tangled Yoke cardigan. I finished some kid and adult socks.
This time next week it will be all over; only thing to do then is wait for my grades and my diploma to arrive in the mail. AND to think about my REWARD YARN!

Sounds like someone needs to have her own party to celebrate graduation?! Perhaps at a venue where one can obtain yarn?
Congratulations, in advance, for all your hard work and for succeeding in reaching your goal!
