Another FO--and this may be the best one yet!

Kate Gilbert is now the Official Knitzanity Designer (OKD). I love her designs--they are classic, but current, and interesting to knit--and they FIT! So either I am getting to be a better knitter and choosing the right size for myself, or her patterns are carefully written, accurately sized, and realistically gauged! Maybe a bit of both.

My Kate Gilbert History:

1. Clapotis. My favorite knitted garment for many years. Fun to knit (at the time, somewhat challenging, my first baby-lace pattern) and lovely to wear. I still wear it almost daily and I have made 3 modified versions of the pattern since. Love.

2. Sunrise Circle Jacket. Love. Have not worn--I finished it in June! But the fit is great and it is flattering. A real winner.
3. Slanted Neck Pullover. LOVE! It hugs the curves in the right way and the neckline rocks! Its classic yet still fun to knit. It has all of the style and fit and professionalism of a bought garment, yet it has fun-to-knit details that make it special--and worth making it yourself. Simple things--the way the hems are shaped, the way the side ribbing increases in each row, the way the neckline is constructed. NO ONE will ask if this is homemade--and it was SOOOO worth knitting. And the Classic Elite Wool Bam Boo was fabulous to knit with-springy, soft and shiny.

I Love Wool Bam Boo too. I never really paid much attention to the slanted neck pullover - but after a rave review like that It's on my radar!
