Out of hiding!

School is done! for a few weeks (summer session starts in May.) So now I am posting some pictures of all that has been happening.

1. I won Fluffy Knitter Deb's Blog Anniversary Contest! And here is my shwag, modeled by the lovely Girlpants. This included a fabby sock book (gotta have it!) and some SOCKS THAT ROCK!!!! This is vintage STR too, packaged in the 200 yd hanks in a gorgeous green/burgundy mix called Moss Agate. I LOVE IT! There is likely to be a jaywalker in my near future. Thank you Deb! Deb was my first sockapalooza pal, and knitted a gorgeous pair of beaded socks that I wear every week. Deb has been like a sock teacher to me; she answers loads of my sock/needle/techniques questions--with great patience! I have sent her back a wee thank you gift--check for it on her blog next week!

2. Socks! These are the YarnAhoy/Manasi socks in the Monkey Pattern. Manasi used to come to our knitting group in Richmond, before she moved to DC. She is a HUGELY talented dyer and spinner--she takes EVERY ribbon at the state fair for her handspun. These are modeled by my sister, who I gave them to. I made another pair of Monkey socks from Tofutsies (picture to follow).

This week I am finishing up a few projects (meaning, sewing together) and trying to organize some of our worst closets so that we can be more efficient when things go back to crazy again. I should be POURING FOs into the blog in the next weeks. Blog writing is not a priority when I have many projects due (though I still read loads); I have to admit I am just an intermittent blogger.

But...I do graduate in December! Roll on!
